We were awaken at 4:00 in the morning to Cameron screaming his head off and running to our room. Here is the conversation:
"Cameron, what is wrong"
"THE BAD GUYS ARE GETTING ME!" screaming in the hall and waking Kasey up in the process.
"What bad guys?"
"The ones that are on my pillow and I tried clapping them and they pushed me off the bed!"
Chris told him that we are here and that we will protect him and that no bad guys can get him in his bed. I tell Cam to come get into our bed and his whole body was shaking. He cuddled right up to me. After a minute I ask him if he is alright and he just whimpers out "not yet." I felt so bad for the little guy he had never had a nightmare before and he was just so scared.
In the morning we talked to him about it and he said he was "okay." We talked to him again about how we protect him while he sleeps. Hopefully tonight will be a peaceful night sleep.

Poor kid. Hopefully he can laugh about it someday.
Oooohh, those first nightmares are the worse. It's hard to comfort them when they are so scared like that. I hope it doesn't happen again anytime soon!!!
Those actually sound like night terrors and they seem like they are awake and their eyes are open but they are still asleep and active in their dream. Tyler used to get these really bad. Good luck, they are scary at first but then you getused to it.
The key of knowing is whether or not he remembered it in the morning.
