Let us eat cake!

I am so lucky that I got asked to make the Wedding Cake for the dinner/play tonight. Unfortunately, I didn't get to eat any of it since I had to get home to my baby! For those of you who didn't get to see it, here are a couple of pictures. I had a great time making it and can't wait to show everyone how to do this next month!

My poor baby!

Kasey has had this fever going on for quite a while, but it got better a few days ago after the antibiotics kicked in for his ear infection. He wakes up this morning and is really fussy and felt a little warm. I took his temperature and it was 99.7. So, I call the doctor again to make an appointment. Then I go to change Kasey's diaper. I now know why he was so fussy. When I got him undressed this is what I saw.....

The doctor thinks it may be an allergic reaction to the antibiotics, but he is not positive. The fever is completely unrelated. By the time we got home from the doctor's his fever was up to 101.9. At this point I don't know what else to do to make him comfortable. He is already getting advil and benydryl. They are going to draw blood next week if the fever isn't gone or he starts acting sick. For the most part he is just grumpy!

Countdown Tag

10 years ago - I was getting ready to graduate high school, looking for a part-time job and wondering if I was ever going to find a guy to date!

9 daily uses - toothbrush, hair scrunchies, computer, TV, Fridge, couch, my hot water kettle, phone, Sudoku (at least one puzzle each night before I turn off the lights)

8 things on my to do list - hang curtains, laundry, bake wedding cake for next week, get Cameron to keep eating, give kids a bath, weed my yard, figure out what to have for dinner and find a smaller diaper bag.

7 things I enjoy - a good book, a cup of really good hot chocolate, a bath without hearing my kids running around the house, baking/cooking, a full night sleep, cross stitching, gardening

6 places I have lived - in order from birth: Sherwood, OR; Tualatin, OR; Tigard, OR; Beaverton, OR (twice); St Helens

5 facts you don't know about me - I am really paranoid about food going bad (if it is more than a couple of days old I am concerned), I always have a list of things to get done, I really want to re-do my kitchen counter tops, I often buy gifts for people gifts months in advanced (although not so much this year with a baby), I love my Wii and am 80+ stars into Super Mario Galaxy

4 jobs I have had - US Bank doing misc computer work (mainly finding accounts that were "misplaced" during a merger, Tualatin Chamber of Commerce in member services, Bookkeeper for a Landscaping company, Dental Hygienist (I have had more jobs, but the list only says 4)

3 bad habits - letting my to do list consume me, stressing/worrying about things I can do nothing about, forgetting about how truly lucky I am.

2 books I last finished - New Moon & Eclipse (I really need to star reading my next book)

1 favorite - When my kids are playing together and they both have each other completely laughing (video to follow hopefully)

Fun in Salt Lake!

I have been visiting Tiffini since last Thursday and it has been wonderful! It was so nice to see their whole Family. It was even better getting to watch Wyatt and his best friend "Cameron Christian Brookreson" get to play together. Here is a little clip of them boxing on the Wii. They were so happy to see each other. Cameron has really missed going over to the Cluffs to play with Wyatt.

Ethan and Zach both have grown so much. Ethan is absolutely crazy about a game on the Internet called O-game. O-game and Super Mario Galaxy are on his brain 24/7. Zach has an imagination that is beyond belief. If he doesn't grow up to use that imagination it will be a shame. Now that darling little Mallory. She is adorable! Every time I walked up to her she smiled and waved her arms. She even smiled at Kasey even though he was trying to love her a little to much (Kasey had a tendency to try to smother her when trying to give her kisses!)

For me the best part was getting to sit down and talk with Tiffini. I have missed her so much since she has moved and we just don't get to talk on the phone as much as we like. We had so much fun just talking while the kids played. I hope they will come visit over the summer. I know most of you have probably seen Tiffini's blog so I will only post a couple of additional pictures.

Just a little side note about my little guy. A day or so before we left Kasey had a little fever (99.0) I wasn't too concerned I just thought he was getting a tooth in. The little fever continued the whole time we were in Utah and he seemed really hot on the plane home, but he slept for the whole trip and was really happy when he was awake. On Wednesday, he still had the little fever so took him to the doctor. He has an ear infection! He flew twice with an ear infection without any problems! I feel so bad for him. At least he is getting better now!
