Introducing....

Samudra (Hindi for Lord of the Ocean). In August, Cam took a class at the zoo and got to feed the mom to be (the kids hid a salad they made in the stall then got to watch her come in and eat it), so we had to go back and see her baby! He is so cute! The boys loved it. Kasey kept saying "oooh wow!" Cam wanted to go play with him. Here is a shot from the train.
Here is the bobcat (they are always hiding up in the tree so this was a big deal)

The boys are checking out the ducks.
A close up of the Cougar (another oooh wow moment)
I have never seen a Giraffe do this...
It was a fun trip to the zoo!

First Day of Preschool

He was so excited to go back to school! On the second day when I walked inside so I could sign him in he said "Mom you are suppose to go!" He is really loving school and he is actually doing the projects this year!

Summer Fun #2

We did many other fun things that weren't as big as going to the Lake, Ranch, or beach, but they were still a lot of fun. There was the little pool that Kasey got for his birthday. This was set up almost the whole summer.

Playing with Grandma's new puppiesPlaying with plastic tubs and Slinkies!

Trying to find Cameron when he disappeared when I went upstairs to put Kasey down for a nap.
Going in Grandma & Grandpa's pool (that last one is a very brave Cameron going head first down the water slide!!)

Celebrating many birthdays. This is a cupcake that got sent home from Grandma's birthday (Kasey was taking a nap when we all had ours)

Playing in the back yard. and my personal favorite... Cuddling with my boys

It was a fun summer, but I am glad that fall is now here.

Summer Fun #1

So I have been awful about posting this summer. We have been on the go a lot. I have three or four posts that I need to get out. So I will start with this post about the other fun things we did this summer. Besides going to the Lake we also went to the Beach and the local fair.
The Fair
Cameron is a complete dare devil! He loved the rides and wanted to go on them over and over. So I had Cameron go up to one of the rides to see how tall he was and he was right at the 42" mark so we let him get on this ride. The guy operating it said that he looked a little small, but since Chris was riding it with him he would let him on. Cam loved the ride and when Chris told me what the operator said I told him that he was with in a quarter inch of the proper height. So Cam went back over to the measuring thing. Well he must have been standing on his toes or a bump in the ground because he was a good 3 - 4 inches too short when we measured him the second time! When he asked to go on it again we said no. He really enjyed the ride though. Cam got me to go on the tilt-a-whirl with him. I love rides and it was a lot of fun. It is a good thing that I like the rides because Chris can't go on too many. I on the other hand could handle them all day and someday I can't wait to take the boys to Disneyland!Kasey was getting upset that he couldn't go on them, but he was allowed on the Ferris wheel.

We didn't get to go to the rodeo this year which is really sad because our whole family really loves going to them. We normally go to a couple over the summer but this year we didn't go to any!

The Beach

My parents rented a beach house with us so we were staying in Lincoln City at the Olivia Beach complex. It was a nice place, they had a playground for the kids, a fire pit and bikes that anyone at the rental houses could use for free. They will eventually be putting in a pool. Olivia beach is not directly on the ocean, but it is only a 10 minute walk (they use to have access, but the winter storms eroded it and they are rebuilding the stairs, etc) The house was lovely. I think we will stay at there sister property Bella Beach since you can get beachfront property there.

We were there for three nights and one of the nights my parents offered to watch the kids so we could go out. My mom and I also hit the outlet mall (who can resist a 70% off sale at Bass and Eddie Bauer?)

The boys loved the beach and it was Kasey's first trip. This is how we saw Kasey most of the time. Just running around (the boy has no fear!)

Luckily there were four adults so we could take turns doing this with himWe tried to convince him into the water, but as soon as his toes touched the cold he was off running again. It took no convincing to get Cam in the water though! At one point Chris accidentally knocked Cam over and he tumbled into the ocean (water on Cam's head is never good). Luckily, Grandpa saved the day and pulled him out. If you ask Cam what happened though he says "Dad knew I could swim in the ocean so he pushed me over and I swam!"We went searching for shells and to look at the tide pools one morning and it was so fun! Both of the boys found shells. Cameron got to see ones with Hermit Crabs in them and he touch the sea anemones. He thought it was great when they close up!It was also perfect weather for flying a kite.We went out just the four of us one evening and went to Depoe Bay. There are few things better than a child's unbridled enthusiasm for things. This is Cameron cheering as loud as he can about the waves crashing into the rocks!Kasey and I cuddled in the wind and watched Cam's excitement.and we saw a whale.
