The space shuttle drawing

Cameron has been obsessed with the Space Shuttle and its ability to launch for several months. He drew this one day. From the left to right: a tree, the Space Shuttle, the launch tower, the speaker saying the countdown and the countdown clock.

The goofball emerges..

Before bed Kasey suddenly gets silly. Really, really silly. It starts with a smile... Then a devilish look...
Then he turns into a goofball....This can continue for a long time if we let it.He is kicking off the covers in the next shot so that he can jump on the bed. We had to say no.That didn't even start to calm him down. Is it any wonder that he then plays in his bed for the next hour after we lay him down?

Well at least it is completely adorable.

The great water fight of 2009

It started with water guns...
then Cameron decided that those were not working well enough so...Chris of course had to protect himself...The slide wasn't working so well so he grabbed the lid. Kasey got behind there for protection ...It wasn't working so well.So Chris took it up a notch. Our umbrella for our table may never be dry again! Kasey got in on the action at the end.I think Cam had a good time!

Happy Birthday Cameron!!!

Happy Birthday to our sweet sweet 5 year old!
Five things about Cameron:
1. He is smart and really excited that he is now old enough to go to Kindergarten.
2. If his brother falls and hurts himself Cameron is the first person to come running to make sure he is okay.
3. If I am sitting on the couch he puts a blanket over me to make sure I am warm.
4. He is obsessed with space shuttles! He got a rocket that he can shoot into the sky as a present and this was his birthday cake! (yes those are sparklers!)
5. His favorite dinner is Chicken Cordon Blue with rice and corn. He asks for it every time I start mentioning dinner.
We celebrated with family this last weekend and on the evening of his birthday. On Wednesday Chris took the day off work and we took the boys out for some fun. We went to Out of this world pizza and the boys had a blast!
They had bounce houses w/slides (one for younger kids one for older)
They had little scooter things that the boys spent forever on.

A climbing wall

A play structure with 2 big twisty slides, 1 small twisty slide and 3 bumpy slides.

They also had an under 2 area and a family restroom and mothers room(it had one way glass so you could still see your kids if you went in!) The boys played for a good 2 hours and they would have played more had we let them, but we were exhausted and Kasey needed a nap! We then ended the day with the hamburgers and ice cream cake at the other grandparents. It was a really fun day.
